Friday May, 20th is the last day of school.
“We are making a difference one child at a time.”
Welcome to Hilldale Elementary, home of the Tigers! Our school is an incredible place to get an education with outstanding students and staff. We work hard every day to make the futures of our children brighter.
For more than 50 years, Hilldale has strived to achieve excellence in education in the Putnam City School District. Our students benefit from innovatve programs taught by dedicated, passionate, and experienced educators. We have approximately750 PK-5th grade students. We strive every day to celebrate what makes us all unique and aim to reach our full potential.
Hilldale will be a Uniform School this year! Please see the information about school uniforms through the School Uniform link.
We are a Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) school at Hilldale Elementary. PBIS assists teachers in providing high-quality instruction and behavior interventions that are matched to each student’s individual needs. Our teachers provide rigorous academic instruction within a nurturing, child-centered classroom setting. Hilldale Elementary offers many wonderful programs to the exceptional students at Hilldale to meet their individual talents and interests.
Hilldale has a wonderful tradition of community involvement. We are so grateful for our parents, patrons, and community members that donate their time and efforts to our school.
There are so many things to brag on about Hilldale. We have seen tremendous growth over the past two years. That has been highlighted by the State of Oklahoma naming Hilldale an Oklahoma Rewards School!
In addition to the attention paid to academics, we are committed to the development of the whole child. Fourth and fifth graders are provided the opportunity to participate in a competitive sports program geared to sportsmanship and fitness, as well as the development of athletic skills. Our boys in grades 1-5 are provided the opportunity to be a part of our Cub Scouts program. We also have an orchestra program for our students in the upper grades. Students in third, fourth, and fifth grades can also participate in our BOOST program, which is an after school program with both academic and activity opportunities.
We house an in-school daycare providing both before and after school programs. This program is designed to help parents who may have to be at their job early or late each day. Our daycare provides morning supervision from 6:45 until 7:45 each morning at a cost of $5 per day. After school supervision is provided from 3:45 until 6:00 each afternoon at a daily rate of $10.
If parents are interested, we also have evening classes for parents wanting to develop their English language skills. Both the classes and the daycare are provided for participants in our adult classes. These classes start at the beginning of each semester and run for the duration of the semester.
As you can tell, Hilldale is a very busy place! We are excited every day at the opportunity we have been given to make a difference in the lives of our 780+ children. We take that responsibility seriously and work to make sure that every child is provided every opportunity for the development of a foundation that will give them the best chance for a successful future.
“I am a proud Hilldale Tiger. I choose to be Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn!”
